As I write this, Sam and Leong are probably on their way to steal some cardboxes from random places like Giant and Tesco. I would follow suit but it’s already 2am and I don’t wanna go to jail wtf. Ironic, because guess what was I dressed as for Halloween last year? :p

Anyway, the reason why they have succumbed to stealing is because of this:

a magical halloween at HELP UC

This is why we have been slaving through for weeks. The Student Council of my department decided to transform our Main Block campus into Hogwarts School of Witch and Wizardry for Halloween. Semangat giler, kan? Suicide mission for us, more like it. -_- Why are we so hardcore, I also don’t know.

Over the past two days, we’ve set up a costume stall with the help from none other than Absolut Pitch at our campus. Y’know, for marketing strategy and all lah. Panicked a little before Gabriel and team stepped in because we’re such last minute assholes. Plus, it rained on Monday too fml. -_- So thankfully, we managed to pull in quite a crowd today. Lucky assholes we are. :)

Absolut Pitch provides a wide array of costumes.

And masks as well – Hagrid and Mad Eye Moody!

Just so you know, the event’s open for EVERYONE to come. So if you feel like it/have nothing to do on Thursday night/feel like Malaysians should start dressing up properly for Halloween.. Why not drop by HELP University College? :D It’ll be great to have a you and your friends enjoy the night.

These are the essential details for the event:

Date: 29th October 2009

Time: 7.30pm till 11.30pm

Venue: HELP UC Main Block

For more info, please click and head on to our Facebook Page.

Also, fret not if you have no idea on what to wear for the event because Absolut Pitch will be setting up a larger tent of costumes on that night itself. :)

I personally can’t wait for it because Gab’s got an outfit which I’m dying to try on. :p

Day 195: 17th October 2009

Congrats big big boss! :) And with the five J-pop albums to produce in two years, good luck. :)

Received a call from Leonard earlier this week asking if I could help capture Hannah’s press conference on Saturday. As honoured as I was, I freaked out as well because I knew I wasn’t equipped both gear and photog skills wise. =\

But what to do? Big big boss needs help, have to help kan? :p Charged my batteries and made sure I was at least prepared to shoot as many shots as possible that day. So in I went and hoped that with every 100 pictures taken, 10 will turn out usable. Heh.

This was what greeted the team at the dining table. :DDD

Yes, they have a dining table in the office and yes, those are trays and trays of delicious sushi and tempura. From RAKUZEN okay oh the loveee. <3 There were at least 15 of ‘em, if I counted correctly. Isabelle, Evie and I were nom-ing our hearts away every time we waited for the next media representative to arrive. Talk about experiencing Japanese hospitality, eyh? :)

This event was also covered by The Star. Read the article *here*. As for the rest of the pictures, they are uploaded on my Facebook.

No. 137: 22nd August 2009

Just realized how dependent my tummy is on food. By the 3rd hour of our fasting session, it started to grumble and make these weird “kriuuk kriuuk” noises for every two hours.

After 33 hours of fasting, all that I craved for to gobble down was..

KFC’s mash potatoes. -__-

For a better insight on what the 30-Hour Famine Camp is about, watch the video below. Now that I’ve been stuffed nicely over dinner, proper shuteye is what I need most next.

Updates soon.

I was up for over 18 hours on Saturday. The first half was spent at the Fifth College of University Malaya for HELP’s ‘09 Sports Carnival. At the end of that.. I had of course, loads of fun, a sunburn, a bad bad sore throat, about 400 pictures to process and was on the verge of dying from hunger and dehydration. Read: I drank 3 cans of isotonic drinks and 2 bottles of 500ml mineral water but peed only ONCE! T_T

Anyway, our faculty came in to a close second only to lose first place because we had less gold medals. Meh.

group pic!We certainly did good though. Congrats, all. :)

P/s: Some of the pictures are up on Facebook. The rest will be uploaded on HELP’s main website. But that’ll take a while since we’ll be compiling all the pictures from the rest of the photographers first.

With just an hour to spare after rushing back home to shower.. Sam, Leong, and myself managed to meet up with Leonard and the rest at Sunway Pyramid for dinner before heading over to Lust Magazine’s launch at Coco Banana. Heee. I know, I laughed too. :p

LBDs are the perfect answer to laziness for dressing up btw. :p

Clubbing has never been (and never will be) my thing. The loud noise and flashy lights.. /shivers. I think I probably aged two decades faster lah and it sucks sometimes really because I know how fun it is to some ppl. But with great company, I guess I really did enjoy last night. Seeing Hannah, Reymee, Pietro and David again made it feel like it was a mini H-Factor gathering. :)

I ended up totally losing my voice at the end of the night though. -_- And I crashed from the moment I got home till 2pm this afternoon. Super oink champion, right? :p

I’m still feeling all the aches on my limbs since Saturday’s impromptu trekking trip to Gasing Hill. Its been far too long since my last expedition and I have not exactly been the most sporty individual after leaving high school. Imagine the physical shock I received when I woke up the following day feeling half paralyzed. I swear I was moving about like a human crab and of course, my mother being “Mum” showed no sympathy whatsoever.

“Girl, can you not walk like that? You’re already manly enough.”

.. T__T

My sister’s right. Maybe we should make use of the Child Abuse Call Centre number placed ever so conviniently on our refrigerator at times like these.

But, kudos though, to all those who took part in HELP’s 2009 Trekathon. :) It was a pleasure being one of your photographers for the day. I apologize if I was ever in your way and I’m sorry if my camera’s flash blinded your path. Special thanks to Drew Mak who slaved his way through the hill in the early morning with me. /hehe

Oh, and the Department of Psychology did a tremendous job, bagging almost all the medals there that day YAY! :D
