Legends of the Sea Cruise ‘10

The whole idea of us going on this cruise was for Drew’s grandma. Because she’s in a wheelchair, going anywhere else would be quite a challenge. And since she has always loved cruises, why not? :) Previous years, we took the Superstar Virgo but for that.. we had to fly all the way down to Singapore since the ship disembarks there. So this year for convenience sake, we decided to try out the new Legens of the Sea as it disembarks from our very own Port Klang.
The whole trip took a total of 6 days stopping over at Singapore first, then Phuket, Langkawi and lastly back to Port Klang.
(13 pictures after the cut – All taken with the Diana F+ and Fisheye V2)

Brought Popo, Yumin and Ben to Ochard ION. :)

HEHEHE Camels.
We only had just 4 hours in Singapore (till 3pm). So all we could do was zoom around ION and a little bit of Orchard Rd before having lunch at our favourite Indonesian restaurant (Tambuah Mas). Then it was back to the ship. :( Potong giler. :((

The stopover at Phuket was the longest (till 7pm) but it was so DAMNN hot, our skin kena goreng kau kau that we gave up halfway and went back to the ship by 4pm. Fail. -_-

I really enjoyed walking around Phuket town though. So many things up for bargain that I managed to get Dad and Adik three tops for less than RM50! /proud :)
It’s undeniable though that Ben was the sifu of all haggling. :p

Patong Beach.

Where I got so so burnt that I’m peeling like a banana now wtf. T_T

Langkawi was as boring as ever since I last visited like a decade ago with my family. -_- Aside from Cenang Beach, the rest fail lah. Sigh, so sad to see how Malaysians fail big time when it comes to maintanence.

But it was okay lah. We made friends with a Phillipino family and together, we managed to split the cut-throat taxi fare. Lucky for us, our taxi dude was nice enough to bring us to some scenic routes around the island.
Before embarking, we also had THE WORST cendol everrr but the other family loved it. -_- So, whatever lah cause I was going to throw my bowl at the cendol fella. Thank goodness this time no lau sai phew!

Back on the ship, there were quite a number of activities that kept us occupied while we were at sea.

First, there was miniature golf.

The boys did some rock-climbing. :)

While I (regretfully) sun-bathed in their indoor and outdoor environmental-friendly pool. :p
Lastly, the best part of our entire trip was the fact that we could eat from the moment we open our eyes till we shut ‘em. <3

Breakfast eat, brunch eat, lunch eat, tea also eat, dinner sure no problem eat, supper still hungry eat nom nom nom. :D

Ahh, what a trip. :)
