Hong Kong 2009

You know, I’ve been looking forward to this trip since months ago and seeing that this is my second visit to HK, I was still very psyched for it. Of course lah, my hands were also itching for the crazy shopping experience as well. /cough :p Still, OMG one week just zoomed pass just.like.that! T_T

Then I’m not sure why lah, but everytime I go on a holiday..confirm a boo-boo will happen to me. Damn sial, right? -_- This time, it caused a somewhat major malfunction to my health for a couple of days, consequently decreasing my optimum level of ability to shop wtf. T_T But thanks to my ultimate will power (chewah) to get better asap, some serious shopping damage still managed to be carried out at the end of the week. :D

But, more on that next time when I get my hands on the rest of the pictures from Drew. The picture above was taken at the Avenue of Stars with just my iPhone. :) Not too shabby, eyh? Aside from putting in the watermark and frame, there hasn’t been any other editing to it. /proud

So yes, will blog soon! :) Now, for some shut eye.

Last week was sheer madness.

Right after my semester’s final exam, it was 72 hours of non-stop preparation for two events back to back. The stress was so intense, my limits were stretched to a whole new level. And I think I suffered from a little IBS too wtf. Haha. But thank goodness despite the little bumps we had along the way, both events were thumbs up. :) Of course, none of this could’ve been successful if it wasn’t for the great people I’ve worked with.

Big boss Hannah, ppl always asked why I keep drowning myself with all these work with you when clearly, I would be bitting off more than I can chew. But the team and myself agree that we only work this hard because we know you work harder. :) It’s been a great journey with you and the rest this year.

Leonard, Evie, Belle, Sam, Leong, Zen, Ju, John, Chaiboy, Sukvinder and the rest.. words cannot describe my gratitude for having you guys around. :) The fact that we’re able to pull off such grand events despite being major procrastinators still never fails to amaze me. How we break out in giggles and laughter makes all this hard work a lot easier. :) It’s also funny how we’re more like a family now than colleagues and I’m really thankful for that.

To all the SC members who helped make our faculty’s Annual Ball such a memorable one, thank you. :) If it weren’t for you guys, I think I would’ve died of exhaustion.

Lastly, to the one who’s been there with me throughout even after working hours, thank you so much for your love, patience and encouraging words. Thank you for the yummy comfort food you make when you know I’m not eating right. Thank you for those heavenly back rubs and snuggles when I get home late. The fact that you have so much faith in me and what I can do is the very reason why I’ve held on for this long. I love you. :)

I leave for my week-long holiday tmr morning and I’m sooo looking forward to it! :D I don’t think I’ll be able to write again until I get back though and I doubt I’ll be using Twitter while I’m in Hong Kong because of the crazy expensive data roaming services. Oh well. Will be back in 2010, then.

Merry Christmas, everyone! And a happy new year! :)

(I suck at writing closures. -_-)

carlsberggirls

Above are just some of the finalists for the FHM Girl Next Door competition.

(I actually know the first girl on the top left and think she’s really pretty. Haha. I hope she wins. :p)

So, to win a chance to party with these girls, here are just three main steps on just how to!

  1. Become a fan of Carlsberg on Facebook *here*
  2. Get onto *this* application.

carlsberg1

Then it’s just another four simple steps.

carlsberg2

Since I was already on the page, I decided to decorate my own tree! :)

carlsberg3

Choose a Friend: Andrew Mak (CHECK!)

carlsberg4

Choose a Photo: A nice self-portrait one (CHECK!)

carlsberg5

Choose a trinket: An angel one because.. Heh. :p (CHECK!)

carlsberg6

Decorate my trinket: By just dragging the picture chosen earlier and position it nicely by scaling and rotating it until it fits the frame.

carlsberg8

The final step: Just drag the trinket and place it anywhere onto the tree and you’re done!

carlsberg9

I have just ONE trinket now.

Finally, the last and most important step of it all is to..

3. Decorate your Carlsberg Christmas tree and the bigger your tree, the better your chance to win you own private party invite! :D

Happy decorating and Merry Christmas, everyone! :)

Green blouse: Zara; Harem Pants: Noir

Been a while since I actually gave a thought on what to wear before I head out. The past few weeks, it’s been basic tops and denim shorts. Over and over again, because they can’t go wrong. Then it just gets really really boring. -_- Heh.

Oh well, am looking forward to getting some new bajus for the new year soon. :D Jeng jeng!

P/s: How cool is that lomo effect on my picture? :p

Now that I’m finally off the exams hook, I can finally give my undivided attention into making this weekend’s event a successful one with the rest of the team. :) Once again, Big Boss Hannah Tan is reaching out to the community (specifically, the children) this festive Ho-Ho-Ho season with a treat for EVERYONE.

ht3c-tickets

Tickets are running out fast since the official announcement during the recent press conference but luckily, I booked my share with Hannah earlier and have a few more to give away! All you need to do is just email me at shengmae[at]gmail[dot]com to let me know how many tickets you need.

Remember, EVERYONE is entitled to come. So bring your friends, cousins, sister, brother, parents, aunts and uncles to share the Christmas joy! :) And the best part getting the ticket? There’s no need to pay for it! Just bring a present in exchange and we’re good to go! All presents collected at the end of the day will then be given to the less fortunate children in hopes to brighten their Christmas this year. :)
