Mini Escapade
For two weeks, he was mugging for his finals and I for my thesis. Needless to say, the both of us needed a time-out session badly. So badly that in less than one hour upon touching down in JB, he zoomed us right off to Singapore. Haha.

Can you see the excitement on our faces? :p (And my crooked teeth wtf)

After weeks of non-stop rain in KL, it felt so good to have sunshine on my skin. And the first thing we got ourselves to complement the heat was a cup of bubble tea each.

Can you believe that after just three months since my last visit, another new pretty mall comes along! And trust you me when I say that Singaporeans LOVE to shop. We were in Orchard on a week day and yet, the street was filled with people like as if it were a public holiday. Not that I’m complaining because heck, the whole pack-like-sardine atmosphere kinda helped build the Christmas mood up. I like, I like. :)

We made our way up to the rooftop of Ochard Central just in time to catch the sun setting behind the city’s skyscrappers. Which was just so so pretty!

Heh. I couldn’t help myself lah.

I have nothing but absolute love for this place albeit the fact that my heart screams in pain most of the time I walk into a shop and out empty-handed. -_-

And then there was Day 2:

Breakfast at this 50-year old Rochor Beancurd House. Nom! According to Ian Krempl, there’s only two of these in Singapore and we went to the one on Geylang 39.

Famous for their handmade tau foo fah. :)
After breakfast, it was off to Riverside-City Hall for a couple of hours because we needed to get some techie stuff and Drew wanted to look at guitars. Again. -_-

Then the rest of the day was spent back at Orchard’s because I really loved the Christmas deco. :p Picked up a couple of accessories at (where else?) Far East Plaza before we headed back to JB.

Sigh, I’ll be back next year. :)

Before Drew and I left JB, we had lunch at this place opposite Pelangi Mall. I didn’t catch the name of the shop, but it serves really good tom yum! And those who know me, knows I swear by a well-balance sour and spicy tom yum. :p

The noodles’ texture kinda reminded me of the ramen I had in Japan. But for RM10, I found it a lil pricey. Though, they had about 6-7 of these buggers in a bowl:

Nom!
After lunch, it was packing a whole year of his clothes + computer + guitars into his car. It took three trips to finally get everything in and we were off to KL!
I couldn’t help but take this last picture while we were on the North-South highway. The sky was just too blue to forego! :)
