Merdeka Update @ 5AM
Filed Under Celebration, Daily Rambings, Food!, Photography | 3 Comments
I really should’ve just let Jee have that 3-in-1 nescafe. Instead, I happily gulped it down with marsmallows even. Not very smart. Because, three hours later and I’m here having caffeine and sugar rush at 5am.
Regret giler. T_T

How was your Merdeka celebration like?
Earlier.. Ben, a couple of his friends, Drew and I ditched the poker table for about 20 minutes and made our way to Taman Paramount’s Shell station. Hoping to catch a glimpse of some fireworks at the KLCC-KL Tower area, we were much disappointed with this year’s turnout. :( Even Genting seemed more happening with the celebration.
How come ah?

Quickie update:

Thursday: Tasty Pot Steamboat with the Uni Gang.
In my opinion, Yuen’s Steamboat seems like a far cry from this one. Its cleaner, had more variety of dishes and its chicken wings were yummier than Yuen’s too! I enjoyed the tom yam soup so much that two days later, I visited the place again with Drew. :p
The only thing that bugged me from this restaurant was this:

How the heck can anyone eat something that has a smiley face on it lah? T_T

Friday: Envy Club with the H-Factor team.
After months since Leonard first asked us drop by Envy Club, we agreed that it was best we do so before the next semester begin. I must say though that it has been years since I’ve first “clubbed” and till now, I’m not very fond of it. The loud pounding music, the flashing lights kinda gives me a headache after a while. Pathetic, kan? :( Plus, if you remember that I can’t drink and dance all that much.. it really is saddening. -_-

Saturday: KLCC with Drew.
After all the hype from Twitter, I thought we’d give Boost Juice a try and it surely did not dissapoint! :)

Ben (Drew’s neighbour) had a small gathering at his place later that night. It was all good with the food and company. :) Learned to throw a frisbee after dinner, realized I’m quite a natural (chewah chewah!) at it and kinda exerted my sprained thumb two hours later. -_-
Haih. So clever.

This girl here has got one of the most killer pair of legs I’ve EVER seen. They go on for miles long and her taste in fashion is absolutely to.die.for.
Le sigh. :(

The weather today was again as lovely as yesterday’s, if not more! :) Yes, I will be talking about the weather again because its so lovely and we hardly ever get such lovely weather in Malaysia so how to not take notice, you tell me. /gleams
My sister and I stood outdoors ignoring the scorching sun to reminisce our week in Brisbane – that was the last time we’ve seen a sky this blue. I took pictures as I was driving, risking my life on the LDP as I watched the blue in awe. I sent out MMS-es to close friends, sharing the joy. :D
The first thing I squeled to Kelz when we met for lunch was..
“Isn’t the weather today just glorious?!”
:)

Day 140: 25th August 2009
If only the days could be just like this one. If ONLY, you were right here with me.

Day 139: 24th August 2009
Beautiful.
Snapped this with my phone’s 3.2mp camera as I was on my way out for a very early dinner. I took an extra 10 minutes to drive slower than usual.
Its not everyday that you can witness such a beauty and have the time to take it all in.

No. 137: 22nd August 2009
Just realized how dependent my tummy is on food. By the 3rd hour of our fasting session, it started to grumble and make these weird “kriuuk kriuuk” noises for every two hours.
After 33 hours of fasting, all that I craved for to gobble down was..
KFC’s mash potatoes. -__-

For a better insight on what the 30-Hour Famine Camp is about, watch the video below. Now that I’ve been stuffed nicely over dinner, proper shuteye is what I need most next.
Updates soon.
