No. 61: 6th June 2009

My 20th birthday present from Sam and Jenna, finally out of the box. :p

Its been a good two years since I’ve taken photography up as a hobby. And honestly after these two years, I’m quite amazed at how passionate I still am over it though there are still much to learn. Starting with only just an entry-level model and a kit lens, I’ve been lucky (and consistent) enough to be able to upgrade my phototools. Currently I already own a midrange body, an external flash accompanied with two lenses; one do-it-all (18-200mm) and one prime (50mm).

Quite a journey since, if you ask me. :)

No doubt, my pocket’s been stretched quite a bit because of this. No regrets, though. No no. :p Because these couple of years have also opened my eyes to various kinds of photography. Tilt-shift’s one of them. Fish-eye photography too. But lenses like those are gonna cost over thousands. T_T Huhuhuu.

So, that one have to wait lor. :(

But there’s also this one type of snapshot I have taken a liking to. And apparently, lomography’s been pretty popular in Malaysia for some time now. Lomo cameras can be found retailing at creative stores in our shopping malls, making (some models) it quite affordable to the public.

The SuperSampler

This baby here is the one Adik and I are eyeing on for now. We’re looking for that one specifically since my sister’s “ong” colour this year is yellow. -_- I’ve been browsing through some SuperSampler pictures on Flickr for hours now and I love love love the effects of it!

YAY NO MORE MID TERMS. YAY TWO ASSIGNMENTS DUE NEXT WEEK WTF.

I finished my 2-hour paper in 45 minutes today. Yes, either I did bloody well or I’m slowly but surely on my way to sampah-masyarakatism. Mm. My mum started shouting at me when I got home because she thought I’ve yet to leave the house and was going to be late for the exam. -_- The woman sure knows how to up her blood pressure at 9am. But.. she calmed down. And then proceeded to make an egg sandwich for me. <3 Hehe. Yum I've been having those for over a week for breakfast now yum. :)

Believe it or not, she was at my doorstep 15 minutes after I told her I had cravings for bubble tea. Haha. :p
