No. 16: 22nd April 2009
I know. I look like a midget here shaddup. T_T
Sheer blouse: Mango; Jeans: I don’t know but I got ‘em from Sungei Wang; Flip flops: Havainas; Bag: Japan
I pat myself on the back for being able to survive whilst having two layers on today. The heat + humidity was CRAZY, no? Even at 9 pm, as we sat out talking at the field in front of Shealin’s.. Josh and I were sweating pigs. -_-

So, hey. I spent a part of the first day of my semester break convincing my Mum and sister that I absolutely needed to buy that RM13.99 Belcube Spread Cheese in One Utama’s Cold Storage.
How was yours?

So many things I want to do.
But so little time.
“Maybe you should be selfish on this for once”, he says.
Sigh. Maybe.
Yes, the semester’s finally over.
No, I’m not as happy as I thought I’d be.

Day 9: 15th April 2009
My sister with one of Dad’s precious cigar.
One of the many reasons why my family’s awesome (and somewhat dysfunctional to some) is how my parents try to act all conservative about their children’s upbringing but fail miserably from time to time. We openly talk just about anything and everything under the sun with minimal red tapes around our conversations unlike some of the other Chinese families I know of.
The essentials are of course still preserved. “Manners” for one, is listed as one of the top priority when you’re living under Mum and Dad’s roof. But many are still surprised at how I can leisurely (but not excessively) use profanities to describe my frustrations to them at times. “Walau, weather today’s fucking hot wei” and “CB taxi just cut in front of me!” are common phrases, I tell you. Of course, Mum occasionally tells me to behave like a lady (fail lah of course -_-) and my sister and I know better to not be so..expressive in front of my other relatives. Heh.
Mum and Dad are also the type who encourages us to “try everything at least once to see if you like it or not EXCEPT DRUGS”. The year I turned 18, Mum thought there was something wrong with me when I kept on declining offers from friends to go clubbing. What she doesn’t know is that her daughter has two left feet and is hopelessly tone deaf. T_T
I guess I’m pretty contented with how the way things are between my parents, my sister and I. Though Mum will occasionally have one of her hellish mood swings and Dad will drown us during his lecture mode, I cringe at the ways of how some of my friends are treated by their parents (mind you, some of them are wayy over the age of 25) and am just thankful for mine.
Oh, and Dad’s comment on the pictures from today’s photoshoot?
“This one better. The other one got too much smoke in her face.”
“… Yes, Dad.”
